What’s different about your league?
We are an independent organization who plays in the Southwest Florida Youth Football League or SWYFL which is powered by FBU (Football University), the premier organization for helping youth and high school football players develop into the best football player they can be and provides clinics, combines and camps that prepare players for the next level. We serve children ages 5-14 (8th grade) without any weight restrictions. Players are matched up by age regardless of weight. We have recently aligned with Teams from all over Florida on Thanksgiving Weekend to play in the Inaugural NYFA National Championship Series. What is also different about our league is that we can reward individual performance as well as teams. In addition, we have the only local all-star team for the 6th, 7th and 8th Grade, where your child can be chosen to play in the all-star game and represent SW FL in a national tournament game in Naples televised nationally on NBC Sports and ESPN3.

What are my payment options?
Unlike other leagues, our league takes all forms of payment-check, cash, or credit card. In addition, we accept payment plans as long as you have paid $50 by April 1st for those participating in Spring, and remaining $149 by July 15 for those participating in the fall. If you play in both spring and fall, we ask that your payment be in by April 1st for insurance and uniform issuance.
Can my child play in either the spring or the fall, rather than both?
Absolutely. However the price will remain $199 for one or both. Let it be known that we use the Spring as a developmental time and evaluation period to prepare and create our teams for the fall season. We do not treat our spring session like a "separate" season.
What if my child has never played before?
Fantastic!! We invite ALL children ages 5-14 (8th grade) to come out and enjoy the great game of football. As a youth participant in football and cheer, coupled with our certified coaches and staff, we aim to make it not only a safe and fun experience but also and educational one as well. Experience is not needed to be a Lee County Hawk! With the exciting new development of our JV and Varsity program. Your child will be ensured more valuable game time experience even if they are new to the game.
What type of equipment is needed to participate?
Football players/Parents will be asked to provide cleats and a 7 pad girdle. Our cheerleaders need cheer shoes, bloomers and a sports bra. Your Team Moms/Coaches will provide you with a list of things needed.
What do the uniforms look like?
Team colors are black and neon green. To see an example of the colors, check out the homepage.
Will your cheer program have a ‘cheer off’ at the end of the season?
Yes. Our girls will compete in a regional cheer off event and then they will compete in the NYFA State Championship! We are also a part of the NYCC.
